Our Story
Hey, y'all! My name is Lauren, and I run a field to vase floral operation in Nokesville, VA. My first memory of flowers takes me back to Tressy's Greenhouse in Southside Virginia where I would walk the rows with my mom picking out the prettiest summer annuals to plant at our home. Fast forward to sixth grade, I found myself in my first agriculture class at school where I developed a passion for horticulture and all things related to farming for that matter. This continued on in high school where I was able to take floral and landscape design courses, work in our school greenhouse, and compete in FFA events. Agriculture education was the reason why I loved going to school...well, that and the mozzarella cheese sticks I ate every single day freshman-senior year. After graduation, I headed to Virginia Tech where I studied horticulture and then became an ag/hort teacher. I moved to Nokesville in 2017 after marrying my best friend and biggest supporter of this flower endeavor. We have two sons - one human and one Golden Retriever. :) After having our little guy, I stopped teaching to stay home with him, and also officially launched my business! I love being able to grow and create with my own backyard blooms, and I hope to share them with you!
My prayer is that something as simple as a bouquet of flowers would serve as a reminder of God's creativity and attention to detail, and the fact that He is the giver of all good gifts. His greatest gift he offers to us is salvation through His son, Jesus, who paid the penalty for our sins by dying on a cross and rising on the third day. If we put our trust in Him, we have the assurance of spending eternity with God in heaven. How sweet to know we don't have to earn our way; it's because of His grace alone that He has washed us whiter than snow. No matter who you are, He wants to have a relationship with you! <3
